The 1073MP is the Mic Pre only version of the 1073. In conjunction with Avedis Audio we have created the preamp using the same 283 card and same transformers that you will find in the 1073. For todays mic's you should never need more than 70 db's of gain so we omitted the third gain stage and created a constant input impedance throughout the switch. The new 1073MP comes at last in a totally enclosed chassis. The extra real estate gives us room to add a few new features. 1. Phase reverse button. 2. Impedance select between 1200 and 300 ohms. 3. Direct input switch. 4. Balanced line input 5. 48v phantom power. Same 283 amp card as the 1073. Same transformers as the 1073. Same hand-wired modular construction that BAE is known for.
